For a Special Cantor

A customer sent a beautiful tallit that she had woven on a loom as a gift to a very special Cantor.  She had also hand tied the macramé fringe and weaved a gorgeous atarah out of black and silver metallic threads.

I embroidered the prayer ("Da Lifnei Me Ata Omed" - Know Before Whom You Stand) on the new atarah, made small Star of David corners, put in the white satin lining and assembled it to look like the one he had been wearing for many years on the High Holidays.
