Commissioned Work
Art Frame
An
unusual interpretation for
embroidery. The Oseh
Shalom was stitched onto four
strips of silk that was
assembled to form a 24" x 36" matting for
a painting. Thread is
lavender on a blue-grey silk.
Lions of Judah stand at the
corners.

Rabbi's Tallit
I was honored to make a tallit
for a female Rabbi who
was ordained in May, 2007.
It is made from Antique White
silk covered with tiny pearls.
The inside is a gorgeous sheer
embroidered silk.
The atarah is stitched in black
with the Rabbi's
name. Another collar
inside bears the name of the rabbinical school and
logo that was custom digitized.
Each of the pinot corners spells
out a phrase of special meaning.

Graduating Cantors
The atarot for these wool
tallitot were custom embroidered
for a group of 6 Cantors
graduating in June 2007.
The pasuk was chosen by the Dean
of the Music School and I
digitized the school's logo to
be placed at each end of the
psalm.

A note from the Dean about these
tallit: "Just wanted to let
you know that the tallitot were
a big hit. Everyone really
liked them and they played an
integral part in our ordination
ceremony. Thank you so much for
your creative energies. You
were a pleasure to work with and
I imagine we will continue to do
so! |

Graduating Rabbis
For the first graduating class
of 13 Rabbis, a beautiful wool
tallit with striking white
stripes was chosen. The
pale ivory dupioni silk atarot
were embroidered in white thread
with the blessing for wrapping
oneself in a tallit along with
the school's logo. So
elegant!
