A vibrant raw silk shawl in fuchsia and soft cobalt blue was made into a tallit for a bat mitzvah girl.  To add weight and body, we used two identical shawls and I custom dyed a knotted fringe to match the blue.  The atarah was stitched on coordinating fuchsia silk with the blessing "I Am that I Am" from Exodus stitched on one side and a gentle scroll (all done in silver metallic thread) and music notes in black on the other.  The four corners have a modern Star of David in the blue thread on fuchsia with the words "l'dor v'dor" below (from generation to generation) stitched in silver metallic.

There is a matching silk kippah and bag.  The quote on the back of the bag reads: "Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
